I’m extremely excited about teaching at Encore Drama Academy. I’ve had a vast amount of experience in the Performing Arts, including 13 years as a student at Class Act Performing Arts, (formally known as Helen O’ Grady Drama Academy) in Palmerston North, which included Drama Classes, Performing Arts Classes and Trinity College of London Exam Classes where I successfully completed Grade 8 with Distinction. A large passion of mine is performing Musical Theatre. I’ve played a variety of rolls within this genre including Peter Pan in Peter Pan the Musical, Ado Annie in Oklahoma and the Toymaker in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I’ve also dabbled in Shakespeare playing Phebe in As You Like It. Outside of performing, my hobbies include going to the gym to keep fit enhancing my wholistic health, listening to music, travelling, making coffees as a trained Barista and spending time with friends and whanau. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Health, majoring in Health Psychology at Victoria University. I am passionate about creating a fun safe environment for our Tamariki and expanding students’ confidence, communication skills and creativity within my classes at Encore Drama Academy, which I believe are all strong life skills that are incredibly important in today’s society.

A former student of Denise's at Helen O' Grady for nearly 10 years before turning to focus on drama and advanced stage work through high school. I have now spent a year teaching with and for Denise, which has unlocked a new passion in my love for drama. Being able to encourage and mentor younger generations with the same love for performance as I have had throughout my life.

I look forward to working with all my students each week, and am always happy to learn a new face and way to teach in a unique way suited to each pupil.
